VTU Results CBCS: Choice Based Credit System which was introduced by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) earlier in 2015. This CBCS is introduced for the students who all took admissions in 2015 and every year after that. Even though CBCS introduced for the students however, the Visvesvaraya Technological University kept the old evaluation mode for the students submitted to it’s affiliated colleges before 2015. But there is an update on CBCS this April that from now onwards, the students who all are studying under old scheme (admitted to VTU on or before 2015-16), and are looking for admission/readmission to onward of 3rd sem would have to study the courses under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) scheme only. For more information on this update kindly please go through the complete article which helps in understanding clearly.
VTU Results 2017: VTU 1st Sem results 2016-17 along with 3rd sem, 5th sem and 7th sem update Below
As per the sources this announcement took place on April 2nd 2017. The university is very clear and confident on this as the university also stated that the overall marks which were obtained by these candidates in their earlier semesters would be converted in the equivalent grades once these all converted then the grade cards would be issued to all the candidates by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). It is strange that VTU suddenly announced about CBCS Scheme Compulsory.
Since the university implemented this CBCS system, all the candidates have been protesting strongly and this is due to the lack of ability to clear their doubts. As the notice is announced and also updated in the university website to make sure that information reaches to all the students. You can view the notice regarding “CBCS Scheme Compulsory” at the official website of the university www.vtu.ac.in. You can also view the notice directly by clicking here. Unfortunately, when we looked into the notice it surely doesn’t specify anything to clear students’ doubts. So from our end we would suggest you to reach or contact your college administration on this so that they can sort out the things on this issue.
We also have update on VTU Odd sem results 2016-17:
There are some other issues other than this scheme. As the change of scheme is one among many problems, students of VTU are burdened with other major issue which we can see in front of us is never-ending delay in the results by VTU. As every one knows that the University had scheduled and organised the regular odd sem exams in the months of December 2016- January 2017 but still the VTU results 206-17 aren’t out yet. Neither the dates of the results release haven’t been notified to the students nor VTU has addressed on this issue in these days which is annoying.
So far as of now, only the results of crash course of the students submitted to VTU crash course results of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th semester are declared but still 5th & 6th sem crash course yet to be published. The crash course results of 1st to 4th sem were released way long and it may be more than a week and for the 5th/6th semester results, the university still saying that ‘will be out soon’ but no confirmation on this.
When the same asked to the university that when the VTU results would be declared, one VTU official (when educational sources contacted via phone) they declined to say a word on this topic. This response from the university indicates that results of odd sem exams may not be live as soon as we expected.
